New Port Richey Woman Injured in U.S. Highway 19 Crash

A 29-year-old New Port Richey woman was transported to an area hospital Sunday morning, around 9:25 a.m., after losing control of her vehicle along U.S. Highway 19, near the intersection of Sunray Drive, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred when Troopers say the woman was driving a Mazda CX-30 northbound on U.S. 19, traveling through the intersection, where she lost control of the vehicle and drove up a guywire. The woman was injured in the incident and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash. The incident is still under investigation, and no further details have been released.
