Citrus County residents can turn plastic bags into yarn, known as “plarn,” at upcoming workshops. The events, hosted by the Citrus County Library, aim to promote sustainability and creativity.
The first workshop is scheduled for Saturday, March 18, at the Citrus County Library in Inverness, located at 2050 SE 5th St, Inverness, FL 34470. Participants will learn how to cut and twist plastic bags into yarn, which can be used for knitting or crocheting. The workshop is free and open to the public, with registration available on the library’s website.
Additional workshops are planned for other locations in Citrus County, including the Citrus Springs Branch Library, 8515 NE 44th St, Citrus Springs, FL 34433, and the Withlacoochee Branch Library, 8024 NE 148th Ave, Dunnellon, FL 34430.
