A 7-year-old boy was taken to the hospital Thursday night, around 8:30 p.m., after being hit by a car in Lutz, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The incident occurred at the intersection of 44th Street and Sugarwood Drive.
The boy was riding a scooter when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 35-year-old woman. The child’s condition is currently unknown. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
