A man will spend the rest of his life in prison for the murders of two people whose bodies were discovered in Citrus and Hernando counties in 2024.
The suspect, whose name has not been released, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. The bodies of the two victims were found in separate locations in Citrus and Hernando counties. The investigation was led by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office and the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
The incident occurred on January 10, 2024, when the bodies were discovered. The suspect was arrested on January 15, 2024, and subsequently charged with two counts of murder. The case was prosecuted by the Citrus County State Attorney’s Office.
The victims have been identified as 25-year-old Sarah Johnson and 30-year-old Michael Davis. The motive behind the murders is still unclear.
