CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office announced on Monday, January 15, 2024, the arrests of four juveniles following an extensive investigation into a month-long vandalism spree that targeted homes, vehicles, and businesses throughout the Citrus Hills and Inverness areas.
According to investigators, the string of incidents involved spray-painted symbols, phrases, and imagery that detectives say were gang-related. The arrests were made on January 10, 2024, after a month-long investigation that began in December 2023. The juveniles, whose ages and names have not been released, were taken into custody and charged with multiple counts of vandalism.
The vandalism spree included incidents at several locations in Citrus Hills and Inverness, including 1456 and 1474 Southeast 5th Street, 1850 Southeast 16th Street, and 3865 and 3875 Southwest 20th Avenue. The total damage was estimated at over $10,000. The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information about the incidents to come forward.
