A 30-year-old Orlando man was killed in a fatal crash on Ayers Road in Hernando County on Friday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The accident occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Ayers Road just west of Prosperity Lane.
The man was driving a Toyota 4Runner eastbound when, for reasons that remain under investigation, he lost control of the vehicle. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office and other emergency responders were on the scene to assist with the incident. The 30-year-old man’s identity has not been released.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash is still under investigation and more information will be released as it becomes available.
