A 34-year-old man from Inverness, Citrus County, Florida, was arrested on January 15, 2026, and charged with sexual battery, possession of child pornography, and possession of drugs.
The suspect, identified as Michael Johnson, was taken into custody by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office after an ongoing investigation. According to authorities, Johnson is accused of committing a sexual battery on a victim in Citrus County. The incident occurred on December 20, 2025, around 10:30 a.m., at a location in Inverness. During the investigation, deputies also found evidence of child pornography and drugs in Johnson’s possession.
The charges against Johnson include one count of sexual battery, one count of possession of child pornography, and one count of possession of a controlled substance. The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the case, and Johnson is being held at the Citrus County Detention Center.
