Citrus County residents have several exciting events to look forward to in the coming weeks. The Citrus County Chronicle has compiled a list of upcoming events, including the fourth annual Back to School Bash, which will take place on July 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Florida National Guard Armory in Crystal River.
The Back to School Bash, sponsored by Langley Health Services, will offer free school supplies, food, activities, and school physicals. Children must be present to receive supplies. The event aims to help local families prepare for the new school year. In addition to the Back to School Bash, the TOOFAR Foundation has launched an indoor market at 9228 E. Gospel Island Road, which will take place every Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market features a variety of vendors selling items such as designer purses, herbs, Tupperware, kitchen treasures, plants, and home-baked items.
The TOOFAR Foundation’s indoor market also offers barbecue food and unique lemonade for shoppers. Many of the vendors who previously sold at the State Road 41 South location near Floral City have moved to the Gospel Island site. New vendors are expected to join each week, including specialists in knives, coin collecting, woodworking, and collectibles. For more information about the market, call 813-909-6192.
Additionally, the Gulf Coast Manatees Homeschool Group is hosting a Summer Shenanigans Camp, but details about the camp, including dates and times, were not provided in the article.
