Shafer initiated the stop at the intersection of Shoal Line Boulevard and Bluefish Drive in Hernando Beach, where the investigation quickly expanded beyond a standard traffic violation.
During the stop, Deputy Shafer discovered that the driver and four passengers were in the country illegally. All five individuals were subsequently taken into custody by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.
