A Hernando County man, William Blaine Parlaman, is facing multiple felony charges after two juvenile victims came forward with allegations of repeated sexual abuse, including one child, his own biological daughter, who told investigators the abuse began when she was approximately 7 years old, according to arrest affidavits filed by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.
The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office arrested Parlaman on January 15, 2023, at his residence in Hernando Beach. He is charged with multiple counts of sexual battery, lewd or lascivious offenses, and other related crimes. The investigation began after Parlaman’s daughter reported the abuse to authorities. A second juvenile victim also came forward with allegations of sexual abuse.
The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information about Parlaman’s alleged crimes to come forward. The case is ongoing, and more charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
Parlaman is being held at the Hernando County Detention Center. His bond has not been set. The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is handling the case, with assistance from the Florida Department of Children and Families.
