Crystal River shed fire reignites, forcing firefighters back to scene

A shed fire that had been extinguished reignited in the attic of the structure on Tuesday, forcing firefighters to return to the scene in Crystal River, Citrus County. The fire initially broke out on Monday at a shed located at 849 SE 5th Ave, Crystal River.

The Citrus County Fire Department responded to the scene on Monday and extinguished the fire, but on Tuesday, around 10:30 a.m., they received a call that the fire had reignited. Firefighters arrived and found that the fire had started in the attic of the shed. The fire was brought under control, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Citrus County is currently under a burn ban due to dry conditions. The ban prohibits outdoor burning, including yard waste and debris burning. The ban is in place to prevent wildfires and protect public safety.
