According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 36-year-old man from Pembroke Pines was driving the vehicle loaded with construction debris northbound on Alternate US-19. While making a left turn onto US-19, the driver reportedly failed to slow down, causing the vehicle’s heavy load to shift.
The momentum of the shifting debris caused the tractor-trailer to overturn onto its side, obstructing the northbound lanes of US-19. Authorities confirmed the driver was not injured in the incident. The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. on US-19 and Alternate US-19. The Florida Highway Patrol provided a photo of the incident on their website.
