Motorcyclist Arrested for Fleeing at 145+ mph with Marijuana in Pocket

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. The motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, reportedly fled at speeds of over 145 mph because he was ‘scared’ and had marijuana in his pocket.

The pursuit began when troopers attempted to stop the motorcyclist for a traffic violation. The motorcyclist, who was traveling on a highway in Pasco County, allegedly sped away, prompting troopers to initiate a pursuit. During the chase, the motorcyclist reached speeds of over 145 mph, putting himself and others at risk. Eventually, troopers were able to apprehend the motorcyclist and found marijuana in his pocket. He was arrested and charged with multiple counts, including fleeing from law enforcement and possession of marijuana.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Highway Patrol are working together to investigate the incident and determine the circumstances surrounding the pursuit. The motorcyclist is being held at the Pasco County Jail, and his bond has not been released.
