19-year-olds flee police, toss firearm out window in Tampa

Two 19-year-olds were arrested early Sunday morning by Florida Highway Patrol troopers after they allegedly eluded police in Tampa and tossed a firearm out of a vehicle window.

The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday. Troopers said the teens were driving on Tampa streets when they fled from police. During the pursuit, one of the suspects threw a firearm out of the vehicle window. FHP troopers apprehended the two suspects, seizing the firearm. The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrest. The suspects and charges have not been released.
