Hudson Teen Dies in Little Road Rollover Crash, Two Others Injured

An 18-year-old Hudson man was killed when he lost control of his Nissan Xterra on Little Road and was ejected during a rollover crash around 2:22 a.m. on April 2, according to authorities. The fatal accident occurred south of Fred Street in Pasco County.

The driver was heading north on Little Road when he lost control of the SUV, sending the vehicle into the median where it spun and rolled several times, authorities said. The driver was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene. Two passengers in the vehicle, an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, both from Hudson, suffered minor injuries in the crash.

The rollover crash highlights ongoing safety concerns on Little Road, a major north-south corridor through Hudson and surrounding areas of Pasco County. The Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles department continues to investigate factors that contribute to serious traffic accidents throughout the region.

Authorities have not released the names of those involved in the crash pending notification of family members. The investigation into the cause of the accident remains ongoing, with officials examining factors such as speed, road conditions, and whether seat belts were being used at the time of the crash.

This fatal accident marks another tragic incident on Pasco County roadways, where the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office has increased efforts to promote safe driving practices and reduce traffic fatalities. The crash serves as a reminder for drivers to exercise caution, especially during late-night and early morning hours when visibility may be reduced.
