Loft 352 Salon Empowers Clients Through Hair Transformations in Hernando County

Sarah Sandifur, owner of Loft 352, has built her salon business around more than just haircuts. For eleven years, she has focused on empowering clients and helping them feel beautiful from the inside out. The salon operates two locations in Hernando County, with the flagship location featuring a Chanel quote at the entrance: “A woman that cuts her hair is about to change her life.”

Sandifur purchased the original salon eleven years ago when a local Aveda salon was going out of business. As the former manager, she took a leap of faith and bought the business, betting everything on her vision to revive the “old beauty shop mentality” focused on personal connection and guest experience. Drawing on her background in women’s studies, she reimagined the salon model by pushing back against rigid corporate structures to create a more welcoming, expressive space.

About three years ago, Sarah and her husband Blake expanded their vision by opening a second Loft 352 location on Commercial Way in a quieter, growing part of town. What began as a strategic move to escape congestion quickly became something more significant. The new location has become a neighborhood staple for nearby communities like Timber Pines and Hernando Beach, where many older residents now have a convenient, close-to-home salon option.

“I wanted to create spaces where people could just come like the old beauty shop mentality, but not you know how some salons can be a little pretentious or something like that. We accept everyone,” Sandifur said. The salon strives to help clients leave not just looking different, but feeling transformed. “It’s not about just looking beautiful,” said Sandifur. “It’s about feeling beautiful, because in reality, that’s what matters.”
