Citrus County residents have spoken, naming their favorite local businesses and service providers across more than a dozen categories in the Citrus County Chronicle’s annual Best of Citrus reader poll, with results announced June 27, 2026. Winners span a wide range of services, from child care and funeral homes to transportation and embroidery, reflecting the depth of local business talent across the Inverness and Crystal River area.
The poll highlights businesses that community members trust most in their daily lives. Advanced Insurance Solutions took top honors in two separate categories, winning both Best Insurance Agency and Best Insurance Agent, with agent Bobby Hazel specifically recognized in the agent category. Honorable mentions in both insurance categories went to Angelina Godfrey Insurance and Suncoast Insurance and Tax Services.
