Spring Hill Man Charged with Kidnapping, Aggravated Battery

A Spring Hill man is facing felony charges after investigators say he kidnapped his former girlfriend at knifepoint and stabbed her during a confrontation outside her workplace early Friday morning, July 10. According to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at approximately 12:57 a.m. to a report of a kidnapping and aggravated battery.

The incident occurred outside the victim’s workplace in Spring Hill, Florida. The suspect, whose name has not been released, allegedly used a knife to threaten and kidnap his former girlfriend before stabbing her. The victim was able to seek help, and deputies arrived to find her with injuries consistent with a stabbing. The suspect was taken into custody and is being held at the Hernando County Detention Center.

The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation. Charges against the suspect include kidnapping and aggravated battery. The victim’s condition has not been released, but she was reportedly treated for her injuries.
