The Extension Master Gardeners will present July seminars all about pollination. The seminars will be held at 1 p.m. at all library locations on the following dates: July 6 at Lakes Region in Inverness, July 8 at Central Ridge in Beverly Hills, July 15 at Floral City, July 27 at Crystal River, and July 23 at Homosassa. There will also be a Zoom presentation on July 20 for anyone wishing to use this format. Registration is required for the Zoom presentation so that connection information can be sent to those wishing to participate. The Gulf Coast Manatees Homeschool Group invites kids to its Summer Shenanigans Camp for daily or weeklong fun. Upcoming dates for the camp are July 13, 15 and 17. Camp is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and locations include Hunter Springs Park, North Oak Church, Citrus Springs Church of God in the gymnasium and Whispering Pines Park and pool. Get ready for fun days of creativity, sports, learning and team building. Daily drop in is $30; $75 per week, with $5 off per sibling.
Local shutterbugs are encouraged to participate in the Keep Citrus County Beautiful (KCCB) 31st annual Save Our Waters Week (SOWW) Photo Contest sponsored in partnership with the Citrus County Chronicle. Photos submitted should depict scenes of Citrus County’s waters and/or habitats, be a minimum resolution of 300 DPI, have been taken within the past year, and not depict any particular business. All photos become the property of Citrus Publishing Inc. Photos must be posted on the Citrus County Chronicle website at www.chronicleonline.com/contests/saveourwaters by Saturday, Aug. 22.
CDJR Cruise-In will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at the dealership, 2077 State Road 44, Inverness. This bimonthly event is hosted by Plaza CDJR and the Citrus MOPARS Car Club. It is free and open to all makes, models and years of cars and trucks.
