Citrus County residents have several opportunities to meet candidates for the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) in the coming weeks. Holli Herndon, candidate for BOCC District 4, has scheduled several meet-and-greet events: June 25, 3-6 p.m., at Aggregation Distilling Company, 255 N. Suncoast Blvd., Crystal River; June 26, 4:30-7 p.m., at 11185 S. Pleasant Grove Road, Floral City; and June 30, 9 a.m. to noon, at Cattle Dog Coffee Roasters, 4556 S. Suncoast Blvd., Homosassa.
Stacey Worthington, candidate for BOCC District 2, will also host Citrus First Conversations: on Saturday, June 20, from noon to 4 p.m. at BubbaQue’s, 613 N. Citrus Ave., Crystal River; on Saturday, July 11, 10 a.m. to noon at Lakes Region Library, Inverness; on Thursday, July 23, 8:30-10:30 a.m. at AJ’s Café, 3297 S. Suncoast Blvd., Homosassa; and on Saturday, July 25, from 10 a.m. to noon at Homosassa Library.
Additionally, Diana Finegan will be the guest speaker at the meeting of the Crystal Oaks Republican Club at 6:30 p.m. on June 29 at Crystal Oaks Clubhouse, 4958 W. Crystal Oaks Drive in Lecanto. The Nature Coast Republican Club (NCRC) will meet on Thursday, July 2, at the Beverly Hills Community Building, 1 Civic Circle, Beverly Hills, with guest speakers including candidates for the BOCC, Commissioner/candidate Rebecca Bays for District 4 and candidate Stacey Worthington for District 2.
The Citrus County Chronicle will host its Primary Election Candidate Forum on Tuesday, July 7, at the Citrus County Auditorium in Inverness, with doors opening at 5 p.m. On July 16, the Homosassa River Republican Club will host a debate between candidates for BOCC District 2.
