The Hernando County School District recently announced the valedictorian and salutatorian for Central High School’s Class of 2026. William Morales, with a GPA of 4.6296, was named valedictorian, while Autumn Hernandez, with a GPA of 3.94, was named salutatorian.
William Morales plans to attend the University of Florida, where he will major in Biochemistry with a focus on Pre-Med. Throughout his high school career, Morales participated in Pit Crew, a program that helps students in classes outside of his designated one by offering afterschool tutoring and creating additional assignments. He credits his teachers and parents for their support and guidance. Morales is excited to start his college career, experience dorm life, and balance school and work while exploring his interests.
Autumn Hernandez will attend Florida International University, where she plans to major in International Business. Hernandez has volunteered at BayCare, worked part-time, and explored various clubs throughout high school. She is looking forward to meeting new people, exploring new places, and taking on new challenges. Hernandez credits her mom for her support throughout her journey.
The achievements of Morales and Hernandez demonstrate their hard work and dedication to their studies. The Hernando County School District congratulates them on their accomplishments and wishes them well in their future endeavors.
