SPRING HILL, FL – Detectives with the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office executed a residential search warrant on April 10 at 16155 Fruitville St., resulting in eight arrests and the seizure of multiple narcotics.
The investigation began after authorities received numerous complaints about heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the residence, activity consistent with illegal drug sales. Detectives with the Vice and Narcotics Unit, assisted by the Special Intelligence Unit, identified Jason Russell Klier, 54, as a suspect selling and trafficking quantities of fentanyl from the home. When the warrant was served, deputies located 10 individuals on the property, including inside the residence and a camper in the backyard. A search uncovered approximately 65.7 grams of methamphetamine, 21.3 grams of fentanyl, 0.2 grams of oxycodone pills, 3.9 grams of alprazolam pills, 1.1 grams of marijuana and about 44.6 grams of a liquid substance believed to be a testosterone supplement.
Authorities said the liquid will undergo further testing. Klier told investigators the fentanyl belonged to him and said he was selling it to support his drug use. Danielle Harris, 38, identified as Klier’s girlfriend, told deputies she owned a significant portion of the methamphetamine found during the search. In addition to Klier and Harris, five others were arrested on narcotics-related charges. Investigators said those individuals reported they were either at the residence to use drugs or were found with smaller quantities of illegal substances. A sixth individual was arrested on an unrelated active warrant.
Those arrested and charged include: Jason Klier, 54: Trafficking in fentanyl (two counts); maintaining a structure for trafficking in a controlled substance (two counts); possession of a controlled substance (alprazolam); possession of a controlled substance (oxycodone); possession of drug paraphernalia (two counts). Danielle Harris, 38: Trafficking in methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia.
