A Brooksville man was arrested on Wednesday, February 23, 2026, following an investigation by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office into the alleged possession of child sex abuse material. The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received information related to the possession of Child Sex Abuse Material.
The suspect, whose name has not been released, was taken into custody and charged with possession of child sex abuse material. He is being held on a $105,000 bond. The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is handling the case, and further details are not being released at this time.
