The Hernando County Board of County Commissioners confirmed the appointment of Robert "Bob" Barker as the new Utilities Director on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 9:00 AM at the Hernando County Administration Building, 3525 South Mason Street, Brooksville, Florida.
Barker brings over 20 years of experience in utility management and operations to his new role. He previously served as the Utilities Operations Manager for the City of New Port Richey and has a proven track record of successfully managing utility systems, including water, wastewater, and solid waste. His responsibilities will include overseeing the daily operations of the Hernando County Utilities Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to residents and businesses.
The Hernando County Board of County Commissioners expressed their confidence in Barker’s ability to lead the Utilities Department and contribute to the county’s continued growth and development.
