Hernando County Fire Rescue’s Community Risk Reduction team and Engine 5 hosted a back-to-school event Saturday at Altitude Trampoline Park in Spring Hill, giving local children an up-close look at a fire truck just weeks before the new school year begins.
The event brought together firefighters and families as part of HCFR’s ongoing community outreach efforts. Children got to explore the fire truck and interact with crew members, creating a hands-on experience designed to build familiarity and trust between young residents and first responders.
“It was great being able to spend time out with the community, showing off the fire truck and meeting so many awesome kids. Back to school is right around the corner,” HCFR posted on its official Facebook page following the event.
With the first day of school in Hernando County less than three weeks away, the timing of the event gave families a fun and engaging way to kick off the back-to-school season.
