Good Times in Citrus County: Golf Scramble and Art Workshops

The Citrus Hills Women’s Club Inc. will host a nine-hole golf scramble fundraiser on Friday, April 24, at the Meadows Course of Citrus Hills Golf and Country Club, located at 509 E. Hartford St., Hernando. The event supports designated local Citrus County charities and scholarship funds. Registration is $65 per person and includes greens fees, cart, mulligans, a light breakfast and lunch in the Citrus Hills Golf and Country Club’s Hampton Room.

Golfers may win prizes for lowest score, closest to the pin and closest to the line. Raffles and silent auction items, and share the wealth will be available to win. Every player will receive a custom-made gift. Form your own foursome or be matched with a group. Each team will be handicapped. Sign-in begins at 7:45 a.m. Shotgun start at 9 a.m. Registration deadline is April 1. To register, contact Dawn Holley at 843-685-6696 or [email protected]. If you would like to sponsor a golf hole, contact Gail at [email protected].

Additionally, young artists in the community will have the opportunity to explore their creativity this April through a series of engaging, hands-on art workshops designed specifically for ages 6–14 at the Inverness Art Co-Op. Led by experienced instructor Marci Yocum, these workshops are intentionally structured in small groups of just four to six students, ensuring individualized attention and a supportive, encouraging learning environment.
