Fire Breaks Out at Spring Hill Strip Mall, One Hospitalized

A commercial fire at a Spring Hill strip mall on Tuesday morning prompted a rapid response from Hernando County Fire Rescue, forcing evacuations and sending one person to the hospital. The fire occurred at Asian Massage Therapy, located at 7243 Forest Oaks Boulevard, just before 10 a.m.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke billowing from the building. Crews quickly evacuated the area and extinguished the fire. One person was transported to the hospital with injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Hernando County Fire Rescue and the Spring Hill Police Department.

The fire was confined to the Asian Massage Therapy building, but adjacent businesses were affected by the smoke. The strip mall was evacuated as a precaution, and area residents were advised to avoid the area until further notice. The Hernando County Fire Rescue responded quickly to the scene, and their efforts likely prevented the fire from spreading to other parts of the mall.
