The annual Clean Air Bike Ride took place in Inverness on Saturday, with cyclists of all levels participating in the event. The ride started at 8:00 AM at the Citrus County Fairgrounds, located at 3201 S. State Road 44, Inverness, Florida.
The event, now in its annual occurrence, aims to promote clean air and a healthy lifestyle. Participants had the option to choose from various routes, ranging from 10 to 40 miles, allowing riders of all skill levels to join in. The ride was organized by the Citrus County Health Department, in partnership with local cycling groups and businesses. “We are thrilled to see so many people come out to support our cause,” said Jane Smith, event coordinator. “This event not only promotes physical activity but also raises awareness about the importance of clean air in our community.”
The event also featured bike safety checks, bike decorating contests, and a post-ride celebration with food and music. All participants received a t-shirt and a goody bag with items from local businesses. The event concluded around 12:00 PM.
