Detroit Lions CB Terrion Arnold Arrested in Robbery and Kidnapping Case with Hernando County Connection

Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold has been arrested in Tampa on felony robbery and kidnapping charges. The crime occurred in the early hours of February 4. Investigators say Arnold’s girlfriend, 18-year-old Arianna Del Valle, and 19-year-old Jasmine Randazzo lured three men in their late teens into an apartment on the 14000 block of North 46th Street in Tampa.

Once inside, four of Arnold’s friends held the victims at gunpoint and pistol-whipped, interrogated and robbed them before allowing them to leave. Investigators claim Arnold and his friends believed the victims had robbed the Airbnb in Largo, where he sometimes stayed. Arnold filed a report with the Largo Police Department shortly before the kidnapping incident, claiming $100,000 in cash, an $80,000 necklace, designer bags and his NFL-issued cellphone had been stolen from the rental property. Arnold was not present for the crime, but authorities now claim they’ve uncovered text messages proving he orchestrated the plot as payback.

One of the four alleged perpetrators is 26-year-old Lyndell Hudson II, who lives in Brooksville and works as a paraprofessional at Endeavor Academy, Hernando County School District’s alternative school for at-risk students. He was taken into custody off campus on February 12 by the U.S. Marshals and the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office. According to HCSD, Hudson has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation and will not return to campus.

Arnold faces up to life in prison. His arrest, which quickly made national headlines, comes after a judge rejected two motions by Hudson’s attorneys to limit what investigators can access. Court records show Hudson’s case is moving forward.
