A 27-year-old Dade City man, Spencer Worthie Pitsenbarger, was arrested on April 13 on various unlawful sexual conduct charges, the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office said.
On January 20, while acting as a 15-year-old in an undercover capacity during an online chat, a Hernando County Sheriff’s Office detective began communicating with Pitsenbarger. Pitsenbarger knowingly used the internet to communicate with the individual he believed to be 15 years old, requested that the individual send an explicit image, and sent six obscene images of himself. A warrant was issued for Pitsenbarger’s arrest. On April 13, HCSO’s Special Victim’s Unit detectives responded to the residence located on Laumer Road in Dade City. Upon arrival, contact was made with Pitsenbarger, who admitted to chatting with and sending obscene images to the individual he believed to be 15 years old. Pitsenbarger was arrested on charges of one count of Soliciting a Child for Unlawful Sexual Conduct Using Computer Services, six counts of Showing Obscene Material to a Minor, and one count of unlawful use of a Two-Way Communication Device. He is currently being held without bond.
