North Oak Church in Citrus Springs will launch a 13-week DivorceCare support program beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, offering free help to anyone navigating separation or divorce. The program meets at the church located at the intersection of North Elkcam and North Citrus Springs boulevards in Citrus Springs. No church affiliation is required to participate.
DivorceCare uses a video and discussion format facilitated by trained leaders. Workbooks are available for purchase but are not required. Children and teenagers are welcome to attend the AWANA program and Youth Group at the same time, making it easier for parents to participate. GriefShare, the same organization behind DivorceCare, offers gender-specific grief support recognizing that men and women often process grief differently.
