Citrus County commissioners voted to enact a temporary moratorium on data centers in the county, giving officials time to gather information on the impact of the facilities.
The moratorium, which was approved on a 4-1 vote, will remain in effect for six months. During that time, county staff will study the effects of data centers on the area, including their impact on the environment, traffic, and the local economy. Commissioner
