Stewart was originally arrested by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office following allegations that he struck a counter-protester during the event. The incident occurred on March 12, 2026, at approximately 3:00 PM, near 100 East Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill. The “No Kings” protest was organized to show support for a local community initiative.
The decision to drop the charges was made after a thorough review of the evidence and consultation with witnesses. “After careful consideration, we have decided not to proceed with the prosecution of this case,” said a spokesperson for the State Attorney’s Office.
