Frederick Ivan Thompson, 35, a Bahamas-born Hernando County man, was arrested June 20 and charged with felony domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and domestic battery causing bodily harm. According to court records, Thompson violently attacked his girlfriend and her daughter.
Thompson’s latest arrest is not his first. Court records show multiple prior arrests and a warning from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The incidents of domestic violence date back several years, raising concerns about the community’s safety.
