Citrus County Commissioner, Kevin Wooten, is seeking legal action against fellow Commissioner, John Finegan. According to reports, Wooten has filed a lawsuit against Finegan, citing alleged misconduct.
The lawsuit was filed on January 15, 2023, at the Citrus County Courthouse, located at 405 W. Main St., Inverness, Florida. Wooten claims that Finegan made false and defamatory statements about him during a public meeting on Monday night, October 17, 2022, at 3:00 PM.
Wooten is seeking damages and other relief for what he claims are harm and injury caused by Finegan’s actions. The case is set to be heard in the Circuit Court of Citrus County.
Commissioner Wooten’s office has stated that they will not comment further on the lawsuit, while Commissioner Finegan’s office has also declined to comment.
