The Weeki Wachee Hornets (7-1) continued their strong season with a 31-0 blanking of the Central Bears (4-5) on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Weeki Wachee High School in Weeki Wachee, Fla. Junior quarterback Karly Pasmore (19/30, 231 yards, 4 touchdowns) tossed four touchdown passes in Weeki Wachee’s fourth 30-plus point victory (and fifth shutout) in eight games.
Coming out of spring break, Hornets Head Coach Billy Hughes was pleased with his team’s performance against their cross-county foe. “The flow of the game went well,” Coach Hughes said. “Especially for not playing for over a week.” Karly Pasmore, 22, attempts to score an extra point during the game, while her teammates, including Allie Velez, Samantha Suiters, Genesis Beal, and Milana Baltyk, also made notable plays.
The Hornets’ victory was a significant one, as they look to continue their successful season. With this win, they improve their record to 7-1, while the Central Bears fall to 4-5. The Weeki Wachee girls’ flag football team showed great teamwork and skill during the game, which was a great display of local high school sports in Hernando County.
