The Trenton High School softball team had an impressive run in early March, winning five of six games behind strong offensive performances and consistent pitching. The Tigers opened the stretch with a 13-4 district win at Bronson on March 2. Trenton scored in every inning, including a five-run seventh to pull away.
The team’s momentum continued with a dominant 10-0 win over Union County on March 3, scoring four runs in both the first and fourth innings while holding Union County to just one hit. The Tigers also earned wins over Crystal River, Union County again, and Branford, before suffering a narrow 3-2 loss at Columbia on March 12.
The team’s strong showing included a 12-0 road win over Crystal River on March 6, where Trenton tallied 12 hits and scored in four different innings while limiting Crystal River to a single hit. On March 9, Trenton earned another win over Union County, this time on the road, 4-1, with a three-run second inning giving the Tigers early control.
With the strong showing, the Tigers continue to build momentum as the season progresses.
