Traffic plan builds around new Home Depot in Citrus County

A new traffic plan is being implemented in Citrus County to accommodate the recent opening of a Home Depot store. The plan, which was approved by the Citrus County Board of Commissioners, aims to improve traffic flow and safety in the area around the new store.

The new Home Depot store is located at 1000 W. US 19, Inverness, Florida 34471. According to Citrus County officials, the store’s opening has increased traffic in the area, prompting the need for a new traffic plan. The plan includes the installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of W. US 19 and S. Home Depot Drive. The signal will be activated on Monday, March 18, at 3:00 PM.

The traffic plan also includes improvements to the intersection of W. US 19 and NW 1st Avenue, where the new Home Depot store is located. The improvements will include the installation of a dedicated right turn lane and a new sidewalk. The project is expected to be completed by the end of April.

“We are excited to work with the Home Depot team to ensure that the traffic flow in the area is safe and efficient,” said Citrus County Commissioner, Scott Boyett. “This new traffic plan will help to reduce congestion and improve traffic safety in the area.”

The new Home Depot store is a significant addition to the local economy, and officials expect it to attract shoppers from throughout Citrus County and surrounding areas. The store’s opening is a welcome development for the local community, and the new traffic plan will help to ensure that the area remains safe and accessible for all users.
