Tampa Woman Arrested for Throwing Hand Sanitizer During Road Rage Incident in Spring Hill

A Tampa woman, Brittany Nicole Williams, 28, was arrested on March 13, 2026, after deputies say she threw a bottle of hand sanitizer during a road rage incident on Mariner Boulevard in Spring Hill, Florida.

According to an arrest affidavit from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the Dollar General located at 3449 Mariner Boulevard in reference to a reported battery. Investigators said Williams got into a verbal argument with another driver, then threw a bottle of hand sanitizer at the victim’s vehicle, causing damage to the windshield. The victim, who wishes to remain anonymous, reported that Williams was driving a black sedan and was seen fleeing the scene.

Williams was taken into custody and charged with one count of battery. She was booked at the Hernando County Detention Center and later released on $1,000 bond. The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is reminding drivers to stay calm and avoid engaging with aggressive drivers.
