Sixty local elementary and middle schoolers from the Tampa Parks and Recreation Department got a rare chance to share the field with both a Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker and a Manchester United legend during a recent Premier League weekend fanfest in Tampa. The unique clinic, which blended the fundamentals of flag football and soccer, took place on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at the AdventHealth Training Center.
The clinic was led by Buccaneers linebacker Nick Jackson and former Manchester United star Wes Brown. The event allowed kids to learn from experienced athletes and take part in drills and activities. Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Nick Jackson and former Manchester United footballer Wes Brown also exchanged jerseys during the event.
The Crossover Clinic was a fun and educational experience for the kids, who got to meet and learn from their sports heroes. The event was well-attended and provided a great opportunity for the kids to develop their skills and make new friends.
While the event was held in Tampa, it’s worth noting that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Manchester United have a significant following in Hernando, Pasco, and Citrus Counties. The clinic is an example of the kinds of community events that can bring people together and promote a love of sports.
