Citrus County, Florida – Several local candidates are hitting the campaign trail, attending various events and meetings across the county. Rebecca Bays, incumbent candidate for Citrus County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) District 4, will speak to the Homosassa River Republican Club on Thursday, May 21, at 11:30 a.m. at the Homosassa Lions Club, 3705 S. Indiana Ave.
Stacey Worthington, candidate for Citrus County Commission, District 2, is continuing his Citrus First Conversations series. The next public meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 21, from 8:30-10:30 a.m. in the private dining area of AJ’s Café, 3297 S. Suncoast Blvd. Diana Finegan, incumbent candidate for BOCC District 2, will be the guest speaker for the Memorial Day ceremony at the Homosassa Veterans Memorial at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 25. The memorial is located on West Yulee Drive in Old Homosassa.

- State Rep. JJ Grow and BOCC Commissioner Diana Finegan, both running for re-election, will be guest speakers at the Nature Coast Republican Club meeting on Thursday, June 4, at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. at the Beverly Hills Community Building, 1 Civic Circle, Beverly Hills.
- Stacey Worthington will have more Citrus First Conversations: Saturday, June 13, from 10 a.m. to noon at Coastal Region Library, Crystal River; Thursday, June 18, from 8:30-10:30 a.m. in the private dining area of AJ’s Café, 3297 S. Suncoast Blvd., Homosassa; and Saturday, June 20, from noon to 4 p.m. at BubbaQue’s, 613 N. Citrus Ave., Crystal River.
- Diana Finegan will be the guest speaker at the meeting of the Crystal Oaks Republican Club at 6:30 p.m. on June 29 at Crystal Oaks Clubhouse, 4958 W. Crystal Oaks Drive in Lecanto.
Additionally, U.S. House Democratic candidate Robert People will speak at the June 6 meeting of the Democratic Women’s Club.
