Citrus County residents have several opportunities to meet and hear from local candidates in the coming weeks. Stacey Worthington, a candidate for Citrus County Board of County Commissioners District 2, will continue her “Citrus First Conversations” tour with several events, including a YMCA Luncheon/Chamber Forum on Friday, July 10, at noon, and a meeting at The Cove Resort and Pub in Inverness on Tuesday, July 14, from 5-7 p.m.
Worthington will also meet with voters at Twysted Vine in Inverness on Wednesday, July 15, from 5-7 p.m., and at The Gardens Assisted Living Facility in Crystal River on Tuesday, July 21, at 3 p.m. Additionally, she will attend an event at AJs Café in Homosassa on Thursday, July 23, from 8:30-10:30 a.m. The Nature Coast Republican Club will also host Worthington and fellow candidate Rebecca Bays, who is running for BOCC District 4, at its meeting on Thursday, July 2, at the Beverly Hills Community Building.
The League of Women Voters of Citrus County will host a meet-and-greet with candidates for the Florida House of Representatives on Wednesday, July 8, at the Coastal Region Library in Crystal River, starting at 10 a.m. The Citrus County Chronicle will host its Primary Election Candidate Forum on Tuesday, July 7, at the Citrus County Auditorium in Inverness, with doors opening at 5 p.m.
