Let’s Feed Citrus: Bi-weekly food distribution adds ‘after-work’ option

The Citrus County Food Bank has announced an additional bi-weekly food distribution event, “Let’s Feed Citrus,” which will take place on Thursday afternoons. The first distribution event is scheduled for Thursday, March 16, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Citrus County Fairgrounds, located at 3201 W. State Road 44, Inverness.

This new ‘after-work’ option aims to provide more flexibility for individuals and families in need of food assistance. The event will offer a variety of food items, including fresh produce, meat, dairy products, and non-perishable goods. The Citrus County Food Bank has partnered with local organizations to make this event possible.

The “Let’s Feed Citrus” event will occur every other Thursday, with the next distribution scheduled for Thursday, March 30. The food bank encourages those in need to take advantage of this convenient after-work option. More information about the event and other food distribution programs can be found on the Citrus County Food Bank website.

Additionally, State Attorney Andrew Wooten has declined to press charges in a recent case, according to reports.
