Fiore Smetana and Dominic Bellino, both seventh-grade students from Land O’ Lakes in Pasco County, have earned recognition as award-winning filmmakers for their Civil Rights documentary. The young filmmakers created their project while attending school in the Land O’ Lakes area of Pasco County.
The documentary project showcases the students’ dedication to exploring important historical topics while developing their filmmaking skills at such a young age. Both Smetana and Bellino demonstrated exceptional talent in researching, producing, and presenting their Civil Rights-themed film.
