Hudson Man Sentenced for Shooting at Bar on County Line Road

A Hudson man, George Labar, 41, was sentenced to 18 months in the Department of Corrections with 39 days of credit for time served, plus three years in the Department of Corrections for Pasco County charges, after pleading guilty to shooting into an occupied building and discharging a firearm from a vehicle.

On February 28, 2025, at about 11:56 p.m., Hernando County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a shooting incident outside Capone’s, a bar located at 10463 County Line Road in Spring Hill. Labar was involved in a physical altercation inside the bar, which continued outside, where he got into his vehicle and discharged multiple rounds from a firearm, striking an exterior window of the bar and causing it to shatter. Labar fled the scene in a white Dodge Ram truck prior to deputies arriving on scene. No one was injured in the shooting.

Labar appeared in circuit court on April 15, 2026, where he pleaded guilty to the charges. The Pasco County charges resulted from his fleeing from Pasco County deputies and ramming an agency vehicle as they attempted to take him into custody on the active Hernando County warrant.
