The Hernando County Government has released a draft of its Program Year 2025-2026 HUD Annual Action Plan and is seeking public input. The plan outlines the county’s strategy for utilizing U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development funding to address community needs.
A 30-day comment period began on August 12, 2024, and will end on September 11, 2024. A public hearing will be held on September 4, 2024, at 3:00 PM at the Hernando County Administration Building, 20 NE 5th St, Hernando, FL Hernando County.
Residents can review the draft plan and provide comments online or in person. The plan includes proposed projects and activities that will be funded through HUD’s Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnerships Program, and Emergency Shelter Grant programs.
