Hernando County government offices will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2024, in observance of Memorial Day. The closure applies to all county offices, including those in Brooksville, Spring Hill, and other locations throughout Hernando County.
The decision to close government offices on Memorial Day is a yearly tradition that allows county employees to observe the federal holiday and pay tribute to the men and women who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Essential services, such as law enforcement and emergency medical services, will continue to operate as usual.
The following Hernando County government offices and facilities will be closed on Memorial Day:
- Hernando County Clerk of the Circuit Court
- Hernando County Property Appraiser
- Hernando County Tax Collector
- Hernando County Health Department
- Hernando County Parks and Recreation Department
