Hernando Sun asked community members to send in their favorite patriotic photos and photos of the places across our nation that capture the beauty and spirit of America. For America 250, Rod Scott from Brooksville, Fla., took his family to Utah to see the “Mighty Five” National Parks.
Patriotism was on display in various forms, including a 4th of July Hernando Beach Yacht Clubs Heroes boat parade featuring the Marina Rose float. Community members like Whitney Bender, Kyle and Cristina Nugent & Kids, Jovie and Ace Colon-Bennett, and Matt and Christine Mulvaney shared their own patriotic moments. Marli Garman, age 6, and Colleen Boorman arranged flags in front of the Brooksville Courthouse on July 1, 2026.
