Citrus County residents have several community events to look forward to in the coming weeks. The Citrus Springs Library is hosting a free Ice Cream Social on Saturday, June 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. as a thank-you to the public for their support and to welcome newcomers to the community. The library is located at 1826 W. Country Club Blvd., Citrus Springs.
The Citrus Friendship Quilt Guild has adjusted its meeting time and will now meet on Thursday, July 2, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 439 E. Norvell Bryant Highway, Hernando. The guild also meets on the third Thursday of every month at the same location. Additionally, IR-RU Riders will hold its fourth annual fundraiser, Wreaths for Our Fallen Heroes, at Crystal Harley-Davidson on Saturday, May 23, with entertainment provided by Hat Trick from noon to 4 p.m. and a lunch of pulled pork sandwich, potato salad, sweet corn, and dessert for $15 from noon to 3 p.m.
