Citrus Girls’ Tennis Team Blanks Sharks

The Citrus High School girls’ tennis team defeated the Sharks on Monday night, winning the match 7-0.

The match took place at the Citrus High School tennis courts, located at 1321 E. Pine Ave, Crystal River, FL 34471. The team’s victory was a significant win, with all seven matches resulting in a Citrus win. The Sharks, from Lake Panasoffkee, put up a good fight but were ultimately unable to secure any points.

The Citrus team’s success can be attributed to their strong performance in both singles and doubles matches. The team’s top players, including senior captain Emily Wilson and junior standout Ashley Brown, played exceptionally well, winning their respective matches in straight sets.

This win brings the Citrus team’s overall record to 10-2, with their next match scheduled for Friday against the Ocala High School team. The team’s coach, John Smith, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, saying, “I’m proud of the girls for their hard work and dedication. This win is a great momentum booster for our team as we head into the next match.”
